General Description

This article explains how to map your H: drive, also known as your career account drive, on a computer running Windows XP or 2000.

Step by Step Instructions

If you live off-campus a VPN connection must be established before mapping your H: drive. Follow the directions in [KB002495] How do I install the Cisco VPN Client on my Windows XP computer?

  1. On the Desktop or after clicking the Start button. Right-click on My Computer then left-click Map Network Drive...
  2. It will bring up a new window; next to Drive choose what drive letter you wish it map the drive as. (Standard is H:)
  3. Next to Folder type in one of the following:

  4. Make sure the check box next to "Reconnect at logon" has a check inside it if you wish to have this drive appear each time you restart your computer.
  5. Click on the underlined text different user name.

  6. A window will pop-up, fill in your username and password and click OK.

  7. Click the Finish button.

  8. The H: drive should appear in My Computer.
